Im writing this post just as a general statement to say that shit happens.
I could write for paragraphs and paragraphs about this, but to be honest, nothing I could ever write would mean as much as "Shit Happens" just did.
Thats the problem with long writing, when a message is spread throughout a large block of text, one of two things happen:
1) The message is lost under a useless mass of examples and rewordings of the origional point
2) The message is overstated and forced on the reader like a giant dick of opinion into the mouthes of the less than willing audience.
But yeah, thats the post pretty much, not really sure how else to say it but:
Sure, life has its ups and downs, or more or less downs and 'not so downs'. You can bitch, complain, blame others, blame yourself, get overly depressed or take it out physically. But to make all of it seem less iportant or prominent, do something you love, have always loved, and are proud to love. For me thats Video games, always has been, always will be.
So yes, (as said in the title that to be honest, suggested a funnier post) I'm going to try tolive through life as fast as possibe, taking all the blows on the chin. At least at the end of the day I can run through a cop with a dildo on my xbox.

System Of A Down - 1998
"As the century nears its formidable end, our global experience of universal proportions, predicted by many greats, will arrive at our solar system, to our System Of A Down. Authoritarian Oppression, family abuse, depression caused by conformity, and economic devastation will be neutralised by technological terrorism in times of complete chaos. Control will never again be gained for toleration will become extinct. A husband quarreling with his wife will not think twice or regret his spent bullet. Hungry children will not spare the grocer. Remorse in all forms will be removed from human thoughts and actions. Freedom will only be available through revolution or death. This system of a down is unavoidable as life on this planet becomes unnecessary.ะพ The hand has five fingers, capable and powerful, with the ability to destroy as well as create. We have the power to stop and reverse the tides of time by making our awareness of abuse known to the powers of industry and their uncouth political arms. Only by raising this awareness and promoting personal peace within today's self-defeatist society, can we allow the planet a chance to avoid self-destruction! Open your eyes, open your mouths, close your hands and make a fist." - Daron Malakian - 1998

A Post a Month or so Keeps the Doctor... Uncomfortable?
Heres a post you can stick in your pipe and smoke it.
A list, of everything on my mind, no order, no sense... just a list...
This is something I've been thinking about alot recently:
Which is better? A painful optimism or a crushing doubt or realisation?
Whats the point of playing online when often it brings mere frustation and self depreciation.
Even when winning...
Why do some school subjects attempt to judge opinions.
Why do some people feel that an addequite response in an argument is "Its just my opinion", we all know that. The whole idea of an arguement is that its a difference of opinion.
Why do I enjoy facebook when all it is is a long list of things people have done recently?
Who's job is it in a film to create the sound track?
Was it a lazy person who came up with the idea of a "a good nights sleep" before a important event?
Why arent suits worn more by the youth?
Why do people find the need to say a situation is awkward even when they know its just going to make it even more awkward?
Am I spelling awkward correctly?
Am I spellin colloquialism correctly?
Why does my camera make the world ugly?
Why am I writing this list?
Why am I writing this blog?
Why is the keyboard shaped the way it is? Just so we could call it Qwerty?
Why dont I do this more often?

Bloggers of the Bloggers of Bloggers
Quite often, Ill spend half a post explaining why its taken me so long to write for you guys.
Occasionally I spend even longer. So for this post I have a special treat for you:
Im going to do that for this entire post, YAY, isnt that exciting?
Thought I'd warn you before I jump right into it.
(I'm nice that way, arent I)
Well, this was spurred by a constant stream of questions with little answers refering to the mind of a bloggist. And what makes us.... Tick.
So after a year of indirectly blogging about blogging I'm shaking things up now, and directly blog about blogging!
Now. blogging is an interesting suject for me, beacuse these days Im not really sure if I enjoy it anymore or not. These days its more of an obligation. Even though every time i do it i get theis huge swell of pride.
this is the thing though, when I blog. No one should reall take all of it so seriously because my opinions and views change faster that the wings of a hummingbird.... on speed.
Especially on the nature of tPoP, which is constantly flitting (I like that word, I belive it is a Timotei creation) between wanting to: review and test my journalistic skills, talk about troubling issues in the games industries, talk about the world in general, bitch about life (which i told myself I would never do, and do perspective pieces on life.
Currently, I'm kinda going for all of the above, how am I doing?
Anyway, back to the planned post.
First of all, where did the word "blog come from? what does it mean? is it like, an acronym for.... Blue Lightning Oyster Gang (thats a great name for a band). or maybe Benevolent Long Opinion Garrison?
I would research this but I have little bandwidth so it would take dykeloads of time (thats right, Im using a sexual Orientation Colloquialism as a unit of measurement, wanna fight about it?)
So I guess I'll just continue on this post.
my next area of discussion, (one that I actually have an answer for) Is why bloggers constantly blog about blogging.
In my personal experience this is beause we have so many ideas running through our heads all the time, for posts and setups and stuff jsut you know... revolving around blogs.
But when the push comes to shove (what does that mean?) our trains of thought, or at least mine always end up in the same place: "why do people care about this and why should i make a blog about this shit?"
That leads always to the final post, which ends up being mostly about the blog. I swear that if I could post while walking ome from school (where most of my pondering is done) This blog would be very different. Possibly better, though thats a matter of opinion. I mean? what do you like about this blog? Is it the blogging of blogging, or the actual writings of things that move me... besides blogging.
Well, I had a few other ideas to bring to the table, but I'll bring those up in a later post.
And knowing me, my next post is probably going to be in about... say.... a month?
see you all later.
By the way, havn't done this in a while, but the songs making me move this time around are:
Roller Coaster/Take off your Pants and Jacket/ Blink-182
Amsterdam/Writers Block/ Peter Bjorn & John
Hoppipolla/Takk/ Sigur Ros
Carousel/Cheshire Cat/ Blink-182
Turning on the Screw/ Era Vulgaris/Queens of the Stone Age

Im Lost Without You
Im sorry, I didnt mean what I said... Lets just go back to the way it was, before all the fighting.
Forget the obscurities of blogging and whatnot, lets talk for a while... get re aquainted. I (as the title suggests) have been lost without you guys.
My Topic today is the death of the fighting game. So I'm going to jump straight into it without wasting time on huge introductions....
(told you)
Recently I have been having a jolly good time playing games such as Dead or Alive 4 and Tekken 6. You know, your good old fashioned one on one fighters. Where real skill is tested with the rememberence of long arduous combos and counters. However, these games seem to be of a dying breed, with Street Fighter 4 labled as being the last of the series and the console release of Tekken 6 going completely un-noticed.
As far as I can see this is for one of two reasons:
One, the dying out of the timezone, galaxy world style arcades. And I dont care how often you and your friends use the photo booth, they are dying. And this directly effects fighters because, lets face it. Fighting games are made for arcades. Its just such a good system. Where the winner continues to fight and the loser keeps having to pay.
However in the wierd wacky world of consoles there is no way to make this happen. (like the alliteration? Its my favorite type of 'ation')
The other reason... I have forgotten, this is probably because I started this post a week ago and just revisited it. But thats beside the point.
The matter at hand is that these glorious games of gods (more alliteration, eh?) are going no where. Which is a huge tradgedy!
Is it because all gamers want these days are FPS' or MMO's? because thats all Im seeing.
I dont know about you guysm but the death of the ficghting game is not something I want, sure, they're not the greatest games in the world, buth there is a place for them in MY heart, so when Tekken & is NOT announced, a part of me will die...
Im back now, lets have some fun

Let Me Set Some Things Straight
First of all, let me formally apolagize for the lake of posts over the past month.
Y'all need to understand, a good post, a proper post, like most things in life takes time.
I cant just pop them up overnight. You should see my pile of draft posts. Its gotten to the point where I feel that I owe it to you to come out with an amazing, thoughtfull and all round brilliant post.
But the thing is, thats not always so easy. When it comes to tPoP, I'm a bit of a perfectionist. I dont like to spurt out random posts with no real relevence, and my post always have a point. Thats why I have been in such a dillema over the last month. I simply dont care about anything in particular enough to spend all my time posting. My pwnage has gone undisturbed if you would like.
But here I am now, with a few Ideas to work with. So this is just a post to tell you that I understand that you are all upset about a tPoPless month, but just bear with me, and I will continue to give you the bloggy goodness that you crave.
Dont expect weekly posts, but Ill get around to it dont worry. Over the next month or so I will be polishing and posting the drafts that I have recently written, so it shouldnt be too much of a strain on me.
So yea, just sit tight, and enjoy the stream of posts that'll soon be coming at ya, like a beam, like a ray, like a buzzard!
